Argentina celebrated an important anniversary on Sunday. It's been six months since the nation become the World Champions, beating France on penalties after an action-packed final in Qatar.
Leo Messi, MVP of the tournament, recalled what it meant for him to win the biggest trophy in world football, an accomplishment that put him at the astronomical heights of Diego Maradonna, the last Argentinian captain to bring the trophy home for his country.
"It's been half a year since we lifted the prettiest trophy of them all. Six months in which I couldn't stop thinking about everything we went through, how hard we fought and how much we enjoyed it", he wrote on Instagram.
"It's impossible to summarise the World Cup in images, I have so many that wouldn't fit in any album. But coinciding in the 6 months, I wanted to share with you some moments that often come to my mind and make me very happy to remember them because of how and when they happened," Messi added.
The Argentine also took the opportunity on Sunday to "congratulate all the dads" on father's day.
