"Messi the best ever? That's exaggerating"
Argentinian coach Angel Cappa does think that Leo Messi is the best player at the moment, but he thinks it is an exaggeration to say there has never been anyone of a simliar level in history. "It's an exaggeration. You can't say that because everyone's got their own opinion", he said to 'Radio Marca'.

Leo Messi has already said that Sunday's game will be his last one in a World Cup. Argentina will miss the star, who has been an 'Albiceleste' legend.
Angel Cappa spoke to 'Radio Marca' and revealed that, despite it appearing that Messi is the best player at the moment, and thinks that it would be unfair to say he has been the best Argentinian player of all time. "I think that's an exaggeration. Surely, Scaloni didn't see Cruyff, Di Stefano or others play. You can't say that because everyone's got their own opinion", he stated.
"I have no doubt in saying that Leo Messi is the best player at the moment and of this generation, but of all time, no, history is huge", Angle Cappa went on.
He thinks that the number 10 is one step behind other greats: "Messi is in fifth place of world history and he deserves it. He's behind Di Stefano, Pele, Cruyff and Maradona, and this World Cup has confirmed that".
Cappa was very impressed with his assist for Julian Alvarez' goal: "He had enough time to raise his head, to see him and give him the ball. That will stay in the memory forever. After a short while we won't remember how many goals Messi scored, but you'll always remember that bit of play".
As for the final, he thinks that Deschamps' France will be the ones to go up against the 'Albiceleste'. "They've played good football, they've got very good players. Mbappe is the future, he's preparing to be the next world champion. They've got Dembele and Griezmann, who's having a great World Cup, Tchouameni is an exquisite player... I'd like to see France and Argentina go head to head", he finished by saying.
