Newcastle are working on bolstering their squad to play in the Champions League next campaign. They have already closed the transfer of one of their new reinforcements.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Magpies have already reached an agreement with AC Milan to sign Sandro Tonali in the summer transfer window.
The same media outlet reports that the Italian will sign for six seasons, i.e. until 2029. He will earn 7 million euros per year and two million euros in add-ons. However, neither party will announce the transfer this week as they are working on the final details.
The 23-year-old will become the most expensive Italian player of all time if the transfer is completed, overtaking Jorginho, for whom Chelsea paid €57 million to Napoli.
