Christopher Nkunku's incredible last season with RB Leipzig has put him on the radar of Europe's top clubs. There was talk of interest from Real Madrid last summer in relation to the Bundesliga player of the year.
However, the French striker finally stayed at the German club, although his departure is more than foreseen. Chelsea made a move and agreed a transfer for the following summer. Therefore, the Frenchman will arrive at Stamford Bridge for the 2023-24 season.
The player is currently recovering from a knee injury that kept him out of the World Cup just days before the start of the tournament. Fabrizio Romano said that the Blue's medical staff have tested him again, as they did last September.
The aforementioned source assured that the deal was closed at around the 60 million euro clause plus bonuses that could push that figure up to 70. He will sign his new contract with the London club in June.
