'No changes at the moment' - Van Dijk confirms Liverpool have not offered him new deal yet

Liverpool brought their pre-season to a close with a double dose of friendlies. The Merseyside side beat Sevilla 4-1 and then faced Las Palmas, a game behind closed doors that ended in a draw (0-0).
Van Dijk, who played 74 minutes against Las Palmas, was questioned about his contract renewal after the match, as his contract expires in 2025. "There is no changes at the moment," said the defender, who is focusing on leading his team at the start of the 'Slot era'.
On the transfer market, the Dutchman, aware that the Reds have not strengthened their squad, said: "I think we should make some signings based on how long the season will go but they are working behind the scenes and I am fully convinced and trust the club that they will do the right thing for us".
Finally, Van Dijk again showed his confidence towards the board. "They will get the best possible team to fight in all the competitions we are in. I think they are working hard, we will see how everything develops.
