Barcelona made it official through an official statement on social media on Friday morning that Xavi Hernandez was sacked as first-team coach, after several days of rumours that the board were thinking of parting ways with their legend.
Xavi Hernandez announced his departure from the club midway through the season after a painful La Liga defeat to Villarreal, but finally before the season the Catalan coach and the board gave a press conference confirming that Egarense would be the 'Cules' coach next season.
