Another player has returned to the ranks of Real Madrid. After announcing the return of Fran Garcia on Friday, the club announced on Saturday the return of Brahim Diaz, who completes his contract with Milan on June 30, where he was on loan.
Having become one of Stefano Pioli's star performers at Milan, Brahim Diaz won Serie A in the 2021/22 season and reached the semi-finals of the Champions League this season, high-flying performances for the 23-year-old Spaniard who joined the 'Rossoneri' in 2020.
Over the three seasons he played in Italy, Diaz played more than 120 matches and scored 18 goals alongside 16 assists for Milan in all competitions.
But this long and successful loan in Italy will come to an end in a few days' time, as the Malaga-born player will return to Real Madrid, who he will be linked with until 2027, as announced by the 'Merengues' in an official press release on Saturday.
"Real Madrid C.F. would like to announce that on Tuesday 13 June, at 12pm (CET) at Real Madrid City, the presentation will take place of Brahim Diaz, who returns to play for our club until 30 June 2027, following his three-season loan spell at AC Milan", read the statement.
The club also announced he would speak to the press after his official presentation ceremony. Brahim Diaz is pegged to take over the spot that was until now occupied by Marco Asensio, who leaves the club this summer, looking very likely to continue his career with PSG.
