Real Madrid have released Eduardo Camavinga's medical report following his knee injury in training the day before the European Super Cup match against Atalanta. The French midfielder has a sprained internal collateral ligament in his left knee. He will be out for six to seven weeks, although the Spanish club have not specified this.

Eduardo Camavinga, who was a clear candidate for a starting place in Real Madrid's lineup the European Super Cup, will be out for around two months. He picked up the injury during Real Madrid's final training session in Warsaw in preparation for their match against Atalanta. During a dispute with compatriot Aurelien Tchouameni, he sprained his knee. Late the following morning, the club released their medical statement.
"Following tests carried out on our player Eduardo Camavinga, he has been diagnosed with a sprained internal collateral ligament in his left knee. Pending evolution," reads the text issued by the 'Merengues', which does not set recovery times. Even so, it will be between six and seven weeks, which means he will be ruled out for the match against the 'Dea' and for the start of the 2024/25 La Liga campaign.
His absence will mean that Carlo Ancelotti will not be able to count on him for one of the most important games of the season, the derby against Atletico on 29th September. The 'Colchoneros' will host the 'Merengues' at the Civitas Metropolitano with a new squad with the signings of Julian Alvarez, Robin Le Normand and Alexander Sorloth.
He would be back for 'El Clasico' against Barcelona on 27th October, although with very little time to gain competitive experience. In the best-case scenario, he would be medically cleared at the beginning of October, so he would enter, at the last minute, in the squad to face Villarreal on 6th October. On the 20th, a trip to Galicia to face Celta Vigo is scheduled.
