Manchester United have announced on Saturday that they have officially signed former Arsenal wonderkis Chido Obi Martin. The youngster shared a post on his Instagram page confirming the deal.
"Very happy to sign with this amazing club, time to focus and achieve all my dreams," the post on social media reads. "Thanks to everyone who has helped me get this far."
The deal for the Denmark youth international striker was sealed in September - alongside the deals for James Overy and Samuel Lusale - however, the official announcement was delayed as United were waiting to receive clearance from the Premier League, who had to ratify the singing, as per 'ESPN'
Nick Cox, Manchester United’s academy director, said: “It can be a difficult process for some players, while others slot right in. Whatever the scenario, our staff will be on hand to care for these young boys and make sure their experience at the academy is an overwhelmingly positive one that sets them up for life. Obi-Martin is set to begin with United's Under-18 side.
