Unai Emery is building an unstoppable Aston Villa. The Villains have managed to reach seventh place after the Spanish manager's arrival.
The former Sevilla sporting director will take charge of the Birminghan outfit's new signings but the board have been keen to close their most important renewals as soon as possible.
John McGinn has renewed his contract on a long-term deal and will play in a Villa shirt for a further four seasons, the English club announced on Friday.
"Aston Villa is delighted to announce captain John McGinn has signed a new, long-term contract with the Club. The midfielder’s new deal will see him remain at Villa Park until 2027," they wrote on their website.
"He wrote his name into the club’s history books with his contribution and goal at Wembley, helping to clinch promotion back to the Premier League in 2019."
