Mason Mount has become Manchester United's first signing of the summer transfer window. The race for his transfer has been relentless for the Manchester team.
The Red Devils had to submit four bids before Chelsea accepted their offer. The English midfielder will be part of Erik ten Hag's new midfield and will fight for silverware under the Dutch manager.
Mount has joined the Old Trafford outfit for 60 million pounds - an initial fee of £55 million plus £5 million in add-ons - and will play for five seasons, i.e, until 2028.
The Englishman has scored 33 goals and provided 35 assists in 195 competitive matches for Chelsea's first team in his time at Stamford Bridge. And now he will be looking to surpass his stats in a United shirt.
The England international will be able to play alongside Manchester United stars such as Bruno Fernandes, Casemiro and Christian Eriksen, among others. The 24-year-old has been Erik ten Hag's top target since the beginning of the summer transfer window.
