Real Madrid suffer another injury setback. 'Los Blancos' have confirmed in an official statement that their goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has a left harmstring injury and is expected to be out of action until after the next international break.

Thibaut Courtois injured his left abductor muscle in the derby between Atletico and Real Madrid on Sunday night. On Monday morning, the ‘Merengues’ medical services carried out a series of tests, the conclusions of which were published in a medical report that specified his injury, although not his recovery timescale.
"Following the tests carried out today on our player Thibaut Courtois by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an abductor injury in his left leg. Pending evolution," reads the text that can be read on the 'Merengue' website. Fabrizio Romano and ‘The Athletic’ assure that his return is calculated for the Liga match against Celta Vigo after the international break in October.
The Belgian will miss the game against Lille on matchday two of the Champions League group stage, so Andriy Lunin will take his place. He will also take his place against Villarreal in the domestic clash three days later, so the Ukrainian has another chance to prove his worth after taking the place of Kepa Arrizabalaga last season, when the Spaniard arrived on loan due to a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament of the former ‘Colchonero’.
Thibaut Courtois has a self-confessed dispute with his coach, Domenico Tedesco, so he wasn't going to be in his squad for Italy and France anyway. It was already known, thanks to leaks in the national press, that Real Madrid were annoyed with physical setbacks like Eder Militão's in the first few calls-up to their federation, but this case is quite different.
