OFFICIAL: Saul Niguez joins Sevilla on loan from Atletico Madrid

The Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium will be able to enjoy Saul Niguez. Atletico Madrid and Sevilla have confirmed the arrival of the midfielder from Elche to the club managed by Garcia Pimienta.
Saul had been left without a starting place at Atletico Madrid. After being one of the most important pieces in Simeone's schemes, physical problems made him lose his place in the eleven and the confidence of the Argentinian coach.
His departure to Chelsea did not work out. Saul did not find his best version in London and could not win a place in the Blues, who did not renew his loan. At Sevilla he now has a new opportunity to vindicate himself.
Since the 2021-22 season, the year in which he left on loan, Saul has only played as a starter for Atletico Madrid in 40 of the 100 matches he has played in the Red and White shirt, without having a clear impact.
Under the orders of Garcia Pimienta and with more responsibility to generate the game, Saul hopes to take advantage of the opportunity, at 29 years of age, to earn a place at Atletico in the future or continue his career outside of the club.
The Sevillian side have also kept an option to extend the loan of the player from Elche at the end of the season that is about to begin.
