Pedro Porro's transfer saga came to an end. After it was almost a done deal, both Tottenham and Sporting CP ended negotiations and the Portuguese club refused to let their winger go. However, the Spaniard declared himself in rebellion and did not train in order to force his exit.
This happened hours later, as both Londoners and Lisbonians resumed negoatiations to, this time, close the deal. Finally, the defender is now a new Spurs player and his arrival in the Premier League was confirmed after a day of back and forth in the operation.
A transfer that is worth up to 50 million euros and which means that clubs such as Real Madrid and Barcelona will see how a promising player who has been excelling in the Portuguese league is slipping through their fingers.
The Spaniard was very happy when he was informed of his signing and thanked the Portuguese club for his departure: "I am grateful to Sporting CP, I love the club, I didn't train because I was only focused on signing for Tottenham, but I will always be grateful to the club".
