Andre Onana has already experienced what it is like to play for Manchester United for a season. The Cameroonian goalkeeper has received endless criticism for his performances in adapting to the Premier League.
The 28-year-old admitted that the support of his teammates and continued belief in his abilities has seen him overcome every challenge of the campaign but it has not been easy as he even questioned his decision. Harry Maguire, who is also heavily criticised, was one of the Cameroonian's biggest supporters.
"I have Harry in the dressing room. When you see what he went through, what Harry faced, it was terrifying. He’s a big man, he showed a lot of character. Now he’s back and he’s one of the best we have," Onana said of his English teammate in an interview.
"It’s important to look at this kind of example, because he passed through a difficult situation. Now he’s back and we move forward. I’m happy because we have good people around us, especially at this club, who helped me so much," he added.
