Cole Palmer was Chelsea's hero on Thursday night at Stamford Bridge. The Blues claimed a thrilling seven-goal thriller win over Manchester United as the former Manchester City man sealed his hat trick in stoppage time with a penalty goal and a last-gasp winner.
The Sky Blues youth product has undoubtedly become the star of the Chelsea side and is one of the few players shining this season under Mauricio Pochettino. In fact, the England playmaker is among the top scorers in the Premier League this season with 16 goals without being a pure striker like Haaland or Watkins.
Mauricio Pochettino spoke about his young star's hat trick against the Red Devils and was quick to praise him, although he also said there was still room for improvement despite the valuable win over Ten Hag's side.
"One of his best skills is his mentality and his capacity to deal with the pressure. He’s young, it is his first season playing very consistently and I think it is amazing the way he deals with the pressure," he told the club's official website.
"That shows he can be a very good player. Looking at his performance today it is impossible to say that he’s not a top player, but there’s still a lot of room to improve," he concluded
