Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino is delighted with Moises Caicedo. He believes he just needs to adapt to Chelsea to succeed, as he recalls he had no pre-season with the Blues. The Argentinian coach regretted not being able to help him in that regard during the break, as he has been called up by Ecuador.

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino justified the landing of Moises Caicedo at Stamford Bridge and said he needs time to adapt. The Ecuadorian, the most expensive signing in Premier League history, has started five of Chelsea's last seven games and the one he completed against Fulham this week was probably his best performance for the Blues.
"He's a player who you know can do well in the Premier League, but he hasn't had pre-season with us. It's normal that he needs time to adapt," Pochettino told a news conference on Friday. "It's a new club and, even if you are happy and everything seems perfect, it's still difficult to adapt. We are very happy with him and he did very well against Fulham," added the Argentine.
Pochettino made it clear that he is not happy that Caicedo now has to join Ecuador during the international break. "He has to go to South America now and that doesn't help, but we have to accept that and help him to do well when he comes back.
After the 120 million Chelsea paid Brighton, Caicedo quickly established himself in the starting line-up for a Chelsea side that has made an inconsistent start to the season. However, his relationship and his partnership with Enzo Fernandez is becoming clearer and they look set to be one of the best midfielders in the Premier League.
