'La Roja' are back in action on Saturday as they face Denmark in matchday 3 of the Nations League at the Enrique Roca de Murcia stadium at 20:45 CET. The last time the two sides met Spain took home the victory as they beat Denmark 0-3 in the summer of 2008 during an international friendly.
Spain have picked up four points from their first two games in the Nations League thus far. Both matches were held during last month's international break. La Roja know victory on Saturday will see them overtaking their Scandinavian rivals to go top of Group A4. Denmark triumphed in both of their opening matches against Serbia and Switzerland but Lars Knudsen knows a difficult test awaits as his side go up against the European champions.
Injury-hit Spain have a long list of unavailable players as Rodri, Dani Carvajal, Dani Olmo, Nico Williams and Robin Le Normand are all ruled out due to fitness concerns. That said, Denmark have multiple injury concerns of their own as Fulham's Joachim Andersen and Brentford duo Mikkel Damsgaard and Christian Norgaard have all been sidelined.
Meanwhile, Man United striker Rasmus Hojlund has returned and is set to start, though seeing him for the whole lengh of the game could be unlikely as he insisted that he is determined to ease his way back into the pitch to avoid any unecessary set back to his new-recovered injury.
Spain possible starting lineup: Raya; Porro, Cubarsi, Laporte, Cucurella; Pedri, Zubimendi, Ruiz; Yamal, Morata, Baena
Denmark possible starting lineup: Schmeichel; Kristensen, Vestergaard, Nelsson; Bah, Hojbjerg, Hjulmand, Kristiansen; Eriksen; Poulsen, Hojlund
