Kylian Mbappe has been making headlines all summer. Real Madrid have their eyes on the French international and Paris Saint-Germain are looking for any out to sell him before he leaves for free in 2024, which is what the player wants.
Those who are the most keen for him to arrive at the Santiago Bernabeu are most often Madrid fans, but another interested party has shown their face. Diego Simeone, coach of local rivals Atletico Madrid, looks well on the Frenchman's arrival to boost the level of La Liga.
"I would love for him to sign for Madrid, it would be extraordinary for La Liga, for it to keep being one of the best. All the players who come to Spain are a boost. Madrid has no economic problem to afford it. Surely if not this year, the following year we will be competing against him," the Atletico Madrid coach told 'AS'.
The Argentinian was also asked about his preference between Mbappe and Man City's goal machine Erling Haaland: "They have nothing to do with each other, they are different. Haaland is a goal animal, he is perfection in that '9' who lives facing the goal".
