Manchester City midfielder Rodri has expressed his firm belief that Barcelona's rising star Lamine Yamal will one day win the prestigious Ballon d'Or.
The 17-year-old forward has taken European football by storm this season, earning widespread acclaim for his exceptional talent and maturity on the pitch. Rodri believes it is only a matter of time before Yamal reaches the top, with the young forward already showing signs of becoming one of the best players in the world.
"Lamine Yamal will win a Ballon d’Or, for sure. I can’t say if he will win more than one or not, let’s not put too much pressure on him… but he's special. We felt that from the first moment. He must continue, keep going, be humble," Rodri told Spanish radio station Cope.
Despite his youth, Yamal has already demonstrated a level of flair that has impressed both teammates and rivals alike. If his early performances are anything to go by, it seems that the Ballon d'Or could be a very real goal for Yamal in the years to come.
