Real Madrid's players carried out their first training session on Thursday, 12 hours after beating Napoli (4-2) in the Champions League and qualifying as group winners for the last 16 of the competition, with their minds set on their next La Liga game on Saturday against Granada (18:30 CET), for which Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti will use the same players.
Neither additions - out of the eight absentees due to injury who missed the Champions League match - nor absentees, the big news for 'Los Blancos' hours after their victory, as the Spaniard Brahim Diaz and the Brazilian Rodrygo Goes asked to be substituted early. The Spaniard, in the 65th minute with clear signs of fatigue and the Brazilian, in the 87th minute after feeling "cramps".
The club informed 'EFE' that it is only a matter of two minor concerns and that there are no injuries, so, despite the obvious fatigue, and barring any last minute setbacks, they will take part in the match against Granada at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Rodrygo himself wanted to "reassure everyone" after asking for a substitution. "In the second half it was a bit tough for me, I was tired. I had a bit of cramp, but I'm fine now," he commented on 'Movistar+'.
