Salah: "Haaland's life is easier as a striker"

As Liverpool prepare to face Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, Mohamed Salah has shared his thoughts on Erling Haaland, drawing attention to the differences between a winger and a striker.

The Egyptian star, who has been instrumental in Liverpool's rise to the top of the Premier League, expressed his respect for the Norwegian forward but emphasised the challenges of playing in his own position.
"I respect Erling Haaland a lot," Salah told SkyDE in the build-up to the crucial fixture. "He's a striker, so his life is a bit easier! For a winger to have such a record is quite difficult. Every winger can confirm that."
The Liverpool talisman has consistently delivered impressive goal-scoring numbers despite operating from a wide position. "So, I see it differently between us, because he's a striker and I'm a winger,” he added.
While Haaland benefits from being the focal point of City's attack, the 32-year-old often has to create his own chances from out wide. With both players expected to play key roles on Sunday, their contrasting styles will be on full display.
