The Saudi league clubs want to sign several football stars to improve the quality of Saudi football. They are eyeing several players from the big five leagues such as the Premier League.
Recent reports have linked Manchester City playmaker Bernardo Silva with a possible move to a Saudi Arabian club. Hafez Al-Medlej, who sits on Saudi Arabia's sporting body, confirmed Saudi Pro League's interest in the 28-year-old.
"We are only living the beginning. In Arabia we have a state project and it will not be limited to four great teams, but to all of them. Because the passion for football of the Saudis has no limits," he began.
"Let's hope that Bernardo Silva, from Manchester City, arrives. We must also start working on the signing of Mohamed Salah since he is overwhelmingly popular in the Arab world and in Europe."
He revealed that Mohamed Salah is also a target for them and that they will move for him in the coming years: "I think Salah still has records to break with Liverpool, so I hope that if he doesn't come now he will in the future," he concluded.
