Sergio Ramos, who joined his boyhood club Sevilla as a free agent, is under fire for a video that has gone viral, in which he refuses to sign a Real Madrid shirt.
The 37-year-old appears in the video signing Sevilla and Paris Saint-Germain shirts but refuses to sign one of his former Madrid team.
The centre-back decided to break his silence after being heavily criticised on social media for his behaviour: "Before I refused to sign that shirt, I had already signed about six Real Madrid jerseys. They want them to sell them on the internet," he said.
Ramos does not want to participate in the illegal sale of signed shirts on the Internet as he believes that such behaviour disadvantages the real fans who want to have their jersey signed.
