Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Sergio Rico is still under sedation and in a serious condition, 15 days after being hospitalised in the Virgen del Rocio hospital in Seville after suffering an accident with a horse during the pilgrimage of El Rocio (Huelva).
As sources at the hospital told 'EFE' on Monday, the footballer "remains stable within the seriousness of his injuries in the ICU" and also continues "under the effects of sedation, with close monitoring, being cared for by the Intensive Care Medicine team in consensus with other specialists in a multidisciplinary way".
The 29-year-old goalkeeper, who came through the youth ranks at Sevilla, where he was in the first team from 2014-15 to 2018-19, was on Saturday 27th May called up to the PSG squad for the penultimate league game, which they played at Strasbourg, where PSG drew 1-1 and went on to win the tournament.
After that match, Sergio Rico went to the village of El Rocio, where he had an accident and was taken to hospital in Seville on Sunday 28th May, where he has been since then.
