Bad news for Barca in this international break. The Spanish Football Federation has informed this Tuesday of the injury of Fermin Lopez, who was called to play with Spain U21 in the next matches.
“After the medical tests carried out this Tuesday morning, Fermin Lopez suffered a muscle injury that makes his presence not viable for the two matches that the national team will play this September,” said the statement from the RFEF.
Both the Spanish body and the medical services of his club, Futbol Club Barcelona, have decided that the best thing for the player's recovery is that he leave the discipline of Santi Denia's team and get down to work at his club to try to recover as soon as possible.
Fermin Lopez will be replaced in the U21 team by his teammate Pablo Torre, who after having been on loan at Girona in the 2023-24 season will continue this season in the first team.
