The Spanish Olympic football team arrived in Paris on Friday from Bordeaux, where it spent two days in training, with the addition of Fermin Lopez, who joined the team after winning the European Championship last Sunday with the senior team. He has in his hands the possibility of achieving a double that, to date, has only been achieved by Albert Rust, who won the European tournament and, later, the gold medal with the Olympic team.
With the addition of the Barcelona midfielder, coach Santi Denia now has all 22 players available, and on Saturday he will carry out his first training session with the full squad, made up of 18 permanent players plus four reserves - Alejandro Iturbe, Juanlu Sanchez, Crishtian Mosquera and Sergio Camello - who may be called up in the event of injury or discomfort confirmed by the doctors.
Spain will remain in Paris until 25th July, one day after their 2024 Olympic Games opener against Uzbekistan at the Parc des Princes.
The team will then return to Bordeaux for their next two group matches, against Dominican Republic on 27th July and Egypt on 30th July. All three matches kick off at 15.00 CEST.
