Arsenal striker Gabriel Martinelli spoke about his idols in an interview with his current club's press. The 21-year-old revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo was his biggest footballing idol when he was a child.
"If you were talking about footballers, the person I looked up to was always Cristiano Ronaldo. I used to watch him a lot when I was growing up.
"I loved his style, but in life, my main inspirations for sure are my parents. Back when I was young and still now, they are always there for me," he added.
The Portuguese star may have influenced Martinelli to achieve his current results. The Brazilian has scored 15 goals and provided six assists in 45 competitive matches this season.
