On the last day of the summer transfer window last year, Joao Palhinha made headlines. His move to Bayern Munich was all but done, but the deal fell through at the very last minute due to Fulham's demands. Now, since the European Championship, he has sent a message to both clubs: "They know where I want to be in a month".

Portugal midfielder Joao Palhinha is playing at Euro 2024 while his future at club level is being decided, with Fulham under contract until 2028 and Bayern keen to sign him for the new season. This was the situation last year and he even travelled to Munich, but his signing collapsed at the last minute and he even renewed two weeks later. On Saturday, he said that both clubs "know" where he wants "to be in a month's time".
"At the moment, I'm focused on my work with the national team to make history for my country. About my future, all I can say is that both clubs know where I want to be in a month's time," he told a press conference at Portugal's training camp in Harsewinkel, Germany.
The 29-times capped midfielder, who has a market value of 48.8 million euros according to advanced statistics platform BeSoccer Pro, has spent the last two years at Fulham, making 79 appearances and scoring eight goals.
He previously played for Sporting Portugal and Sporting Braga. His future now points to Bayern, who have already started (or rather resumed) negotiations with the London outfit.
