Edson Alvarez has the Premier League looking out for him. Chelsea decided not to go for him in January, but Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle are going to join the fight in the summer to get the 25 year old defensive midfielder.
According to 'CaughtOffside', the Gunners also wanted to get the Mexican from Ajax in January, while the Blues aborted mission then signed Enzo Fernandez from Benfica.
Liverpool also chose not to go for Alvarez, but they could go back in for him. At Anfield, they found Fabinho was what Klopp wanted, while Newcastle are not considering him as a priority.
An America academy graduate, this is the Mexican's fourth season in Amsterdam. His contract runs out in June 2024, but everything signals that this summer he will be on his way to the Premier League.
