Underdogs Austria top Group D after sinking lacklustre Dutch

Austria pull off the miracle they were looking for against the Netherlands. The Austrians qualify for the last 16 of Euro 2024 as Group D winners after a dramatic 3-2 win over the Dutch. Koeman's side did not get off to the best start when Donyell Malen deflected Sabitzer's cross into his own net. There were few other chances in the first half, but after the break it was a goal-fest. The Dutch reacted quickly and Gakpo equalised after the break, but Schmid gave his team the lead again. The 'Oranje' did not throw in the towel and managed to restore parity through Depay, only to see the point slip through their fingers when Sabitzer scored the winning goal in the 80th minute.
