US billionaire tycoon Elon Musk interested in buying Liverpool
Errol Musk, father of Elon Musk, stopped by the ‘Times Radio’ microphones and confirmed that his son is interested in buying Liverpool. "I can't comment on that. They (the owners of the Reds) will raise the price," said the progenitor of the US billionaire tycoon.

The technology magnate Elon Musk would be interested in buying Liverpool, current leader of the Premier League, according to his father on a British radio programme on Tuesday.
Asked during an interview on ‘Times Radio’ about the possibility that his son, owner of Tesla, SpaceX or the social network ‘X’, would make a purchase offer to add the Reds to his business empire, Errol Musk said: "He (Elon Musk) would like to, yes. Obviously. Anybody would want to do it, and so would I!".
According to the tycoon's father, the Musk family's relationship with Liverpool is very close, as Musk's paternal grandmother, Cora Amelia Robinson, was born in the north-west English city before leaving the UK to settle in South Africa.
However, his first reaction was to try to dodge the question, concerned that the club's current owners, sports conglomerate Fenway Sports Club, would "raise the price" on hearing of Musk's interest in the purchase.
It is not the first time the billionaire has hinted at his interest in owning a football club, having joked on social media in 2022 that he wanted to buy United after they lost 4-0 to Brentford.
"It's a long-running joke on Twitter. I'm not buying any sports team. Although, out of any club, I'd choose United. It was my favourite team when I was a kid," Musk wrote.
