Barcelona have reinforced their defence for the coming season. The 'Cules' announced on Wednesday morning that Inigo Martinez has joined the Catalan side as a free agent. The former Athletic centre-back has signed until 2025.
The Spaniard will fight for a key role in Barcelona's defence as both Andreas Christensen and Ronald Araujo are undisputed starters.
Moreover, as we have already seen on several occasions, the versatility of Frenchman Jules Kounde is also used by Xavi Hernandez, who more than once has opted to move the former Sevilla centre-back to right-back.
On the other hand, Marcos Alonso also looks set to play an important role in the Camp Nou side, especially this season after Jordi Alba announced his departure from the club. Eric Garcia, who has had little playing time last season and Lenglet, who returns from loan at Tottenham, do not look set to be important in the Catalan coach's plans.
