Martin Dubravka is struggling to become Newcastle's first choice goalkeeper, which is held by Nick Pope. However, the Slovakian goalkeeper is doing well to earn a key role for the Magpies, as he showed against Liverpool on Monday.
The 34-year-old keeper, despite the defeat, prevented the Reds from humiliating his side in a goal-fest. Dubravka saved a penalty from Salah in the first half and denied Darwin Nunez on numerous occasions, so much so that Klopp's side scored just four goals despite an average of 7.53 expected goals.
The Magpies goalkeeper spoke to the press after the game and is confident his side can turn around their poor run of form against Sunderland in the FA Cup third round.
