Manchester United were knocked out of the Champions League at the group stage after suffering a narrow defeat to Bayern Munich, and by finishing bottom of the group they will not have the chance to play in the Europa League either.
It is the second competition the Red Devils have been eliminated from this season, having been knocked out of the EFL Cup in the last 16 after being thrashed 3-0 by Newcastle at Old Trafford.
As such, the Mancunians' hopes of lifting a trophy this season rest on the FA Cup, where they face Wigan Athletic in the Third Round on 8 January, and an unlikely Premier League title bid. Manager Erik ten Hag was keen to talk about his team's aims for the end of the season.
