Atletico host Borussia Dortmund">Borussia Dortmund in the first leg at the Metropolitano stadium on Wednesday, bidding to reach the quarter-finals for the first time since 2017.
"It's going to be very special to play against Dortmund, even more away from home, when we go there to the second leg. I still have friends there like Marco [Reus], so it's going to be a very special match," Axel Witsel said in an interview.
"We want to use the Inter game as a reference and we want to fight to the end, even though we are in a situation in La Liga where we want more," he continued.
The Belgium centre-back went on to add: "There are still games left to play, we want to do things right because next year we have to play the Champions League, so we're going to fight to the end, not thinking about much else. Game by game."
