Bad news for Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti. Vinicius, who was initially set to face Atletico Madrid, is out at the last minute due to gastroenteritis.

Real Madrid announced hours before Sunday's La Liga clash against Atletico Madrid that Vinicius Jr, who has recovered from a muscle injury, will be absent due to gastroenteritis.
The striker has stomach problems and, for this reason, will not play against Diego Simeone's side despite being called up by coach Carlo Ancelotti.
His teammate Jude Bellingham also had the same problems a couple of days ago. The English midfielder missed Friday's training session because of the same symptoms as the Brazilian winger. The rest of the squad are already preparing for the eagerly awaited derby.
Italian manager Ancelotti said in the pre-match press conference that Vinicius would be present, but that he would not take any risks when it came to fielding him. In the end, he will not have to make any decision, as an unfortunate case of gastroenteritis has meant that he has been left out of the squad.
