Vitor Roque could end Betis loan and move to Palmeiras

Despite the European transfer window closing weeks ago, some clubs are still at risk of losing players. Real Betis could see Vitor Roque cut his loan spell short and leave for Palmeiras before the end of the season.
As reported by Cadena SER, Barcelona would be keen to approve the transfer under the proposed conditions. The Spanish club is reportedly open to accepting Palmeiras’ €25 million bid, as Roque has struggled to make an impact since arriving in Europe.
The decision now rests with Real Betis, which must choose whether to terminate the loan early. While manager Manuel Pellegrini has reduced the forward's playing time as the season has progressed, he would prefer to keep the striker as an option for the remainder of the campaign.
Additionally, Carrusel Deportivo suggests that Betis may face a financial penalty if Roque does not reach a certain number of minutes or appearances.
The 19-year-old forward, who arrived at Barcelona from Athletico Paranaense in the winter transfer window of 2023/24, played 16 games for the Catalan side, starting only twice and scoring two goals. At Betis, he has featured in 31 matches, making 18 starts and netting seven times.
The Brazilian transfer window remains open until 28 February, leaving time for negotiations to progress. Given his stalled development in Europe, Roque is reportedly open to returning to Brazil to regain form and potentially secure a future move back to Europe.
