According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Vitor Roque has turned down an offer from Al-Hilal after agreeing a deal worth more than 40 million euros with Barcelona. Vitor Roque's situation has gone from sweet to prickly in a matter of a season. It has been a long time since Barcelona announced an early agreement with Athletico Paranaense to secure his services.
The consensus was brought forward to January this year to bolster Xavi Hernandez's attack and the coach only used him as a starter in two of 16 games. His agent warned of possible exit plans if the situation did not change and, now that Hansi Flick is at the tactical helm, he is the Brazilian's big target, having turned down an offer from Al-Hilal.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Saudis are monitoring several talents under the age of 21 for a squad in which they would play with stars such as Neymar.
Joan Laporta's board had agreed to sell Vitor Roque to more than recoup their investment in him. His sale could have helped to bring Dani Olmo closer to the Catalan club and to lighten a possible arrival of Nico Williams.
Meanwhile, according to 'Sport', Lazio are currently the most interested suitors in signing the 19-year-old on loan. Porto are also considering a move for him.
