La Liga president Javier Tebas reiterated on Monday that he is still "against" the registration of midfielder Dani Olmo as an FC Barcelona player and that he is still working to overturn this decision.
"We are against his registration and we are making the appeals that correspond to us and where we ask that he not continue to be registered. If we thought that he should not be registered, of course we believe that we have the possibility that he should not continue to be registered," he said before the gala of the Madrid Sports Press Association (APDM), which is being held this Monday in the Spanish capital.
"In the field of sports law, when you have a licence, as is the case at the moment with Dani Olmo, there is no way to challenge the match, although we could be right in the appeals," he added.
On 8rg January, the Superior Sports Council (CSD) upheld the urgent precautionary measure requested by Barcelona for their players Dani Olmo and Pau Victor "provisionally until the appeal is definitively resolved".
This decision suspended the agreement of the Monitoring Committee of the RFEF-La Liga Coordination Agreement of 4th January and the cancellation of Dani Olmo's and Pau Víctor's sporting licences. Two days later, La Liga announced their appeal to the ordinary courts.
The player is currently out of action due to an overloaded soleus muscle in his right leg.
