Joan Laporta, Barcelona club president confirmed on Sunday that the club are in discussions with Fenerbahce over a move for their 18-year-old wonderkid, Arda Guler.
"He's a very young, turkish player. It is true that the scouting department has been following him for some time, all the important clubs in Europe want him and we are talking to Fenerbahce," he revealed at a meeting at Castilla La Mancha held in Daimiel.
During the event, Laporta declared he was "proud" of the six leagues won this season by the professional teams in men's and women's football, basketball, handball, futsal and roller field hockey.
And he expressed his satisfaction, "because the UEFA investigators have seen no reason to leave us out of the Champions League", due to the 'Negreira case', so returning to fight in the highest continental competition is once again one of the Catalan team's main goals.
"We also have the viability plan approved by La Liga. But we want more. We are not satisfied with this and we have to make the leap into Europe, and that is why we are strengthening. I like La Liga to have the best players in the world and we are the first to do our best to achieve this," said Joan Laporta.
