Jude Bellingham was one of the players who dedicated a few words of farewell to his teammate Kroos, who will retire after the European Championship. The Briton, who regretted having played only one year with the German, received the response of the German, who gave him "control" of the team's game.

Toni Kroos responded to Jude Bellingham's message of thanks for the year they have shared at Madrid and, after announcing his retirement, said the England midfielder "is ready to take control" of the team's play in his absence.
"One year was not enough. Thank you for everything you have given to the game, it’s been an absolute pleasure to enjoy your football and personality as a fan and even more so as a teammate," the Briton wrote on social media alongside a photograph hugging the German.
Bellingham focused on the ultimate challenge alongside Kroos, winning his first Champions League, which would be the German's sixth, on June 1st at Wembley.
"There's still work to do this season, but I wish you all the best for whatever comes next for you and your family - legend!

Kroos was quick to respond to his team-mate's post and pointed to Bellingham as his heir to the 'Merengues' midfield.
"Thank you my friend. More years together would have been unfair. I've enjoyed every minute since you joined! You're more than ready to take over! At 20 years old...", Kroos wrote.
