Bayern Munich went back to the top of the Bundesliga on Saturday, defeating Borussia Dortmund 4-2 at home to give Thomas Tuchel a winning start as coach of the Bavarian giants.
The new coach counts on Joao Cancelo but did not include him in the starting eleven on Saturday and his decision caused a stir on social media.
Sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic spoke to 'Sky Sports' after the victory: "Tuchel has decided that but Cancelo is a key player in the squad. We need him. I'm sure he will start other games," he said.
The Portuguese replaced Alphonso Davies in the 79th minute when his team was already leading 4-1.
