Barcelona are overflowing with joy. In addition to the great sporting moment that the Azulgrana team is experiencing, they have now reached an agreement with Nike, which will strengthen the club's coffers and bring them closer to the 1:1 rule in the market.
"FC Barcelona and Nike, two leading brands in the sport industry, are pleased to announce a new start with a multi-year partnership agreement, starting effective this season, that brings a new collaborative strategic partnership model between the two organizations."
This Saturday, Joan Laporta announced the agreement between the sports brand and the club, a brand that the Azulgrana outfit has been wearing continuously since 1998.
The agreement between the two parties ended in 2028. However, Barcelona wanted to renegotiate the agreement and a new alliance has been signed until the end of the 2037-38 season, 10 years longer than originally stipulated.
Between 2024 and 2028, Barcelona will earn 45 million euros per season. From 28-29 and until the end of the new agreement, the figure rises to 60 million per football season, reported ‘Sport’.
This agreement will immediately relieve Barcelona's coffers, which in recent years have had problems registering their signings. In this way, both Dani Olmo and Inigo Martínez should have no problems from January onwards if the club reaches an agreement for another player.
