Rafael Leao drew Milan level with an acrobatic overhead kick and terrorised the PSG defence every time he had the ball while France star Mbappe struggled to get into a thrilling game at the San Siro.
Tuesday's stellar performance came in stark contrast to recent underwhelming displays and helped reignite Milan's hopes of making it out of Group F. His great performances earned him the MOTM award on the night in which he cut short the eight-match scoreless streak that had put him at the centre of criticism.
"Criticism drives me, so keep talking. I talk on the pitch," he told 'Mediaset'. "The MOTM award belongs to everyone. We have shown how Milan are at home. This match was the one that could change everything in our group, the win was the most important thing. We won and now we will try to go through. It has given us a lot of confidence," he added.
Milan now need two more favourable results against Borussia Dortmund">Borussia Dortmund (28 November) and Newcastle (13 December) to seal their place in the last 16.
