Gabriel Paulista injured three days after making Atletico debut
Atletico Madrid issued an official medical to report that Gabriel Paulista, signed this winter as a free agent following the termination of his contract with Valencia, is suffering from an abdominal wall injury for which there is no timetable for recovery at the moment. The centre-back has only had time to take the field as part of Cholo Simeone's squad on one occasion, in the defeat to Sevilla three days ago.

Atletico Madrid defender Gabriel Paulista was added to the injury list on Thursday with a "post-traumatic abdominal wall muscle complaint", according to medical tests, and will therefore be out of action for Saturday's game against Las Palmas at the Civitas Metropolitano stadium.
The Brazilian centre-back, who started and played the full match last Sunday against Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan stadium, suffered "a strong contusion" during the clash.
"After assessing that the evolution was not satisfactory, the club's medical services have carried out tests at the Vithas hospital in Aravaca, detecting a post-traumatic muscle injury in the abdominal wall. Pending further developments".
Gabriel Paulista did not train on Thursday in the morning session at the Civitas Metropolitano stadium, as did Thomas Lemar, Alvaro Morata and Cesar Azpilicueta, who are still recovering from their respective injuries and who complete the list of absentees against Las Palmas.
Both Angel Correa, who is recovered from the illness that kept him out of Wednesday's training session, and Jose Maria Gimenez, who has recovered from the muscle injury that kept him out of the last four matches, will be available for the game.
