Alejandro Garnacho made his first-team debut on 28th April 2022 against Chelsea after joining in 2020 from Atletico Madrid. The 18-year-old has been a surprise package last season at Old Trafford.
The 19-year-old was wearing No. 49 as he was part of Manchester United's academy but has managed to carve out a place for himself in Erik ten Hag's squad.
From the 2023/24 season, the striker will wear No. 17 despite being rumoured to wear the No. 7 of his idol Cristiano Ronaldo. Mason Mount, who joined the Red Devils in the summer transfer window, took United's legendary number instead.
The Manchester outfit also announced the numbers of the new signings on Sunday. Goalkeeper Altay Bayindir will wear No. 1 while Rasmus Hojlund, who could make his debut against Arsenal, will take No. 11.
Sergio Reguilon, who has joined Manchester United on loan from Tottenham Hotspur, will wear No. 15 on his back and Jonny Evans will wear No. 35. It's still unknown what number Morocco star Sofyan Amrabat will take.
