Kylian Mbappe could stay at the Parc des Princes for more seasons after refusing to extend his deal with the Parisian club.
The striker scored a brace against Lyon on Sunday and his future remains at the centre of controversy at Paris Saint-Germain. The board are trying to get the 24-year-old to renew his contract left and right but he plans to join Real Madrid as a free agent in June 2024.
However, his situation could suffer another twist in the coming weeks. According to French outlet 'L'Equipe', the French star is in talks with his current club to sign a new contract.
This could be a huge blow for the Spanish giants, who are waiting for them with open arms in the next summer transfer window. Nonetheless, although negotiations are ongoing, Mbappe is not sure he wants to continue playing for PSG.
The French side will not give up and will continue to insist that the striker renews his contract at all costs.
