Dimitar Berbatov is one of Manchester United and Premier League legends. The former striker was part of Alex Ferguson's team and shared a dressing room with Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez.
The Bulgarian gave an interview to 'Sport' to talk about the Red Devils' current situation: "Ten Hag is the right man to coach United at the moment. It will be a great season for everyone if they can beat Manchester City in the FA Cup. If they don't, they will have to go for the Premier League title next season.
"It's not going to be easy. City are having superb performances thanks to Guardiola and his style of play. It's been a long time since United have been able to fight in the domestic competition. It's only a matter of time before they go for the title," he added.
The 42-year-old also spoke about his former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo: "He could extend his career for two more years if he takes care of himself even though he is 38 years old. His ambition is still very high and so is his competitive level. He is still capable of scoring goals.
"I would like to see him take another step in his career. I don't know if he'll return to Europe but as long as he enjoys it he'll be fine," Berbatov continued.
The former Manchester United star talked about the Portuguese's departure from Old Trafford: "When you build your legacy and your name is Ronaldo, you're always going to want to be undisputed.
"You need to know how to coach him and give him the respect he has earned when you have a player like him in the squad. The best solution between the two parties was to part ways for good. If he gets the chance to come back to Europe, he probably will. As long as he keeps playing, I think we football fans will be happy."
