FC Barcelona President Joan Laporta wanted to brush past Leo Messi's brother Matias Messi's comments, when he spoke against him and the Catalan side for not keeping their promise to renew the Argentine star.

Joan Laporta did a press conference on Thursday. There were several questions about Leo Messi after what his brother Matias said that he was never going to return.
"I don't think it's important, because he's even already apologised. Everything that he said was understandable; let's leave it there and not give it any more air time", Laporta declared in a press conference. He also added that Matias Messi's words "don't affect at all the relationship between Leo and FC Barcelona".
However, the Barca President preferred to go off topic when asked whether if his dream was to see the Rosario retire at the Catalan side.
"It's obvious that Messi is Barca heritage and, therefore, we're really proud to have had the best player in the world and history with us. But Messi belongs to PSG, he's a PSG player, and out of respect, I don't want to comment anything about players who are at other clubs", Laporta said, who admitted that he felt "maximum understanding", and that he "wouldn't be thinking about it again".
